Maths meeting on shapes..

In our maths meetings we have been recapping our learning on shapes.

We have been counting sides, vertices, faces and edges on 2D and 3D shapes.

We have been thinking carefully about mathematical language.

“This one has 5 sides and 5 vertices.”

“If it has six sides it’s a hexagon.”

“This has 12 edges and 6 flat square faces…”

“Mine is the only shape with more than 4 vertices.”
