YEAR 5 AND 6 CROSS COUNTRY FESTIVAL – NOVEMBER 2022

4th November, the afternoon of the Cross Country Festival for Year 5 and 6.  Hosted at Birdwell Primary with the competitors running two and a half laps around the school field. It is such a long distance to run, but some of the competitors today showed great determination and stamina competing in one of the hardest sports from a training standpoint, where the actual meet is more of a reward than a challenge.    It takes a certain breed of person to run this course, that’s why every runner today was a winner!  All runners were amazing.  These are Birdwell Runners and our Sport Leaders who help with the event.

This year we celebrated each individual winner, second and third place, as well as adding all scores together for a team score.  Birdwell celebrated with 6 individual medals and after totalling up team scores, they won the Gold Medal for the winning school overall – Well Done Birdwell, Mr. Crouch and Mrs. Atkinson are SUPER PROUD of you for not only tackling this course today with great determination to finish, but for the amount of gold, silver and bronze medals you achieved in the individual runs.
