YEAR 5 AND 6 ATHLETICS COMPETITION – 19TH MAY 2023

This afternoon saw twelve Year 5 and Year 6 children participate in the Hoyland Schools Sports Partnership Athletics Competition, representing our school in a strategically organised event which was fine-tuned perfectly to time, hosted at Kirk Balk Academy.  To say they only decided which discipline they were going to take part in when we were standing in the bus shelter waiting for the bus to the event, they were outstanding, making it look easy!

Today’s event not only exercised many muscles but also demonstrated great mental strength given the new situations our youngsters’ minds had to cope with. An afternoon that promoted general well-being and extreme motivation. Athletics is a sport that covers every possible area – that’s what is loved about it.
